Major Problems in Family Law
Ignorance of the ‘Professionals’
The professionals involved in family law practice (principally Judges and CAFCASS officers) do not seem to know that their actions (and inaction) are bad for children. Family courts see no problem when a child loses a parent just because the other parent prefers it that way.
Laziness of ‘Professionals’
They do not want to know how ineffective and damaging they are to children. They prefer to remain ignorant. It’s much easier that way for them. Courts do not even follow up outcomes of cases – and therefore have no way of knowing whether they succeeded or failed.
Prejudiced
Family courts routinely discriminate against fathers in favour of the mother. And it’s not just us who say this; even a former president of the Law Society agrees courts are biased against fathers. (2)
Obsessed with Secrecy
Everything about family courts is secret – even court orders are secret. With total secrecy comes incompetence and a complete inability by anyone to monitor their performance. It is well known what absolute, unaccountable power leads to.
Big Business Interests
Legal professionals make hundreds of millions of pounds profit out of the current failing family law system every year. It’s hardly surprising they see no need for reform!
