When you join or donate online, our payment processor (www.nochex.com) handles the entire credit or debit card transaction on their secure site protected by 128 bit SSL security. We do not have any access to your credit card details and we never see or find out your credit card number ourselves, but merely receive notification of your payment.
When you go onto the nochex site, you will see a small padlock displayed near the top right (bottom for IE6) corner of the browser window. This shows you that the site is secure.
Categories of Membership
We have two categories of membership:

Members - members are full members of the Party and may vote at meetings and take part in all activities of the Party. Membership costs 5 pounds for an entire year, but please consider paying one of the rates which contains an extra donation element, if you can afford to.

Supporters - Party Supporters are expected to be less committed members of the party, becoming a supporter is the equivalent of saying you agree with our aims and our objectives, but do not necessarily want to get involved in campaigning issues. Becoming a Supporter costs just 3 pounds for a year.

If you cannot decide which category to join in, join as a supporter and you can always upgrade later for the difference in price.
Why we ask for some of the information on this form
Email address: We use your email address for all communication with you. We will not pass on your email address to any other organisation.
Name and address: We use your name and address to send you your welcome pack when you first join and to create customised campaign letters we send you in our campaign emails. Most letters will be tailored for you; so they will already have your address and the name of your MP on them, for example. If you wish, you can withhold this information when you join and we then will not send you these customised letters or welcome pack.
Telephone: If you choose to give us a telephone number when you join we may, very rarely, contact you by phone to arrange campaign issues that you have previously declared an interest in. We will never cold-call you unless we have your permission by email first. We will never pass your phone number on.
Postcode: We use your postcode to work out who your MP is so we can create customised campaign letters to send you in our campaign emails. Most letters will be tailored for you; so they will already have your address and the name of your MP on them, for example.
