Mr Hammond, shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, congratulated Keith Collett on his contribution to a good natured campaign. Keith polled 5% of the votes cast in the Woodham Ward by-election, and 2% in the Addleston County Council election, which was also held on 4th June. Keith worked tirelessly in the weeks prior to the election, knocking on doors, handing out leaflets, and debating issues in the local press. “I was particularly pleased to poll 5% in Woodham, but disappointed not to get more in Addleston,” said Keith, “But as no-one had even heard of the Equal Parenting Alliance beforehand, I suppose it wasn’t such a bad performance. It is certainly a good platform to build on for next time. I would like to thank everyone who did vote for me, and to say how much I have enjoyed talking to people in the two constituencies over the last few weeks.” |
