2007 Election Fund

As you are probably now aware, there are going to be two By-Elections on the 19th July. The first is Tony Blair’s constituency, Sedgefield. The second is Ealing Southall, in London, due to the death of the Labour MP.

We’d like to fight both these seats, but barely have enough cash at the moment to fight one of them, coming so soon after the May elections. We think fighting both seats would get us noticed “who’s this party fighting both seats? Maybe they’ll be fighting every seat in the general election too?”!

The minimum cost of fighting a seat is about eleven hundred pounds, which is made up of a ?500 election deposit and approximately ?600 printing costs for an election leaflet (which is delivered free to every constituency address by the post office). Of course, there will be other costs as well such as travel, but these are the major big expenses.

Unfortunately all this costs money! We are not a rich party and so all these costs will have to be met from donations, mostly by the existing committee members but we’d welcome anyone else who can help. Our target is to raise the minimum necessary to fight two seats, ?2,200.

If you’d like to help us fight these seats and make a stand for equal parenting and a child’s right to two decent parents, we’d welcome a small donation using your credit or debit card or by cheque.

To pay by credit/debit card, please fill in the form below and you’ll be taken to nochex, our secure UK credit and debit card payment processor. (Note that we can only accept a maximum of ?100 per card transaction. If you’d like to donate more, please send a cheque by post).
